In this week’s episode we talk about gratitude.

  • We start this episode by discussing why it’s difficult for us to experience gratitude.

  • I draw heavily on the book The Rational Optimist, by Matt Ridley to put some things into perspective.

  • We talk about the obstacles in our own minds that are blocking our path towards gratitude.

  • I also draw heavily on the book, The School of Greatness, by Lewis Howes. From this book I bring you the story of Kyle Maynard, a congenital amputee that is an exemplary example of how everybody has reasons to be grateful.

  • A lot of our discussion has to do with perspective. For more on that check out episode 10 of the podcast.

  • And in this week’s Call-To-Action we express gratitude. True gratitude that arises from a proper balance of perspective, reflection, and understanding of how uncommon our lives really are.
